PERSONALITY:

Cheerful and spunky

Strong morality

Idealistic.

Honest to a fault. Sometimes she does put her foot in her mouth, but she means well.

Kind of naive

Sort of childish

Shy and socially awkward, despite her appearances.

Can kind of be clingy with people she knows, due to the above point.

HISTORY:

Born to Summer Rose and Taiyang Xiao Long. Summer was a hero, while Taiyang was a teacher. And though both of them have quirks, Ruby inherited her quirk from her mother.

Just like in canon, Summer went off on a mission and never came back. She is presumed to be dead, though Ruby was too young to really understand at the time.

Her quirk manifested when she and her older-half sister ran into a bunch of low-level criminals while on a quest to search for her sister’s real mother. They didn’t get too far, and eventually, the criminals caught up to them.

Although Ruby and her sister nearly died, their uncle Qrow showed up just in time to save them, and seeing him in action is what made Ruby really aspire to be hero.

From then on, Ruby trained with him to control both her quirk and be strong enough to at least defend herself from low-level thugs.

Eventually followed her sister to UA in the hopes of becoming a proper hero.

QUIRK: Ruby’s quirk is about the same as her canon power, which is moving at a high enough speed to make it seem like she can teleport or creating a small whirlwind, along with the added effect of looking like rose petals are flying (when it’s really just her cape)!

However, there are a few downsides to it:
-The weight of someone/something can hinder her. The heavier they are, the weaker her quirk is.
-Changing directions is not feasible, as when Ruby goes that fast, she can only go in one direction.
-She relies more on it and her weapon, which makes her terrible in melee combat.

COSTUME: She doesn’t really have a costume yet, but she does have her red hood. Which she wears for almost all the time, even with her school uniform.
